The Family School's youth development program prepares San Francisco’s out-of-school youth (18 to 21) for future success.
This program focuses on youth who reside in one of San Francisco's four enterprise communities (economically disadvantaged areas), but is open to any youth in need.
GED/Basic skills instruction increases academic skills and prepares youth to pass the GED and sets the foundation for further education, training and/or employment.
Youth Leadership training enhances leadership skills and helps youth plan for the future. Program content includes: workshops on self development, motivation, interpersonal communication, teamwork, citizenship, community service and health. Activities consist of guest speakers, team-building, role-playing exercises and off-site field experiences.
