At the core of The Family School's success is an organizational commitment to reaching beyond the comfort zone into new areas that have the potential to transform the lives of program participants and their communities. That commitment has lead The Family School to look internally and externally for new opportunities, to introduce new programs to meet the ever-changing needs of San Francisco's low income families, and to continually evaluate the effectiveness of programs. Annually, hundreds of children, youth and families participate in The Family School's programs. Some key outcomes include:

More than 215 unemployed or underemployed individuals have completed training and have been placed into employment through STRIVE San Francisco. Read these graduates' inspirational success stories.

More than 50 men have participated in "Our Fathers Being Responsible" training and peer support this year. Fathers who complete the program report that they are better prepared to support their children emotionally and financially. More than 150 men have addressed their child support payments since this program's inception.

Each year, 70 children receive high quality, affordable reliable child care in The Family School's two child development centers.

More than 100 people on public assistance received training and secured entry-level jobs through the "Careers with Children Program." While no longer offered at The Family School, the success of our "Careers with Children" program served as a model for other programs offered locally and nationally.
