Our Fathers Being Responsible

Fathers bring valuable gifts to the lives of their children. The Family School's fatherhood program is designed to help fathers become increasingly responsible for the emotional, financial and legal support of their children.

The children of the program graduates now grow up with the added security of having two parents, active and committed to their growth and development. Through ongoing peer and staff support, these fathers are supported through new challenges as they rise to meet their family responsibilities.

The cornerstone of this program is a responsible fatherhood curriculum that assists fathers in understanding how to interface with the child support system.

Weekly peer support groups help participants come to the realization that they are not alone.

Fathers learn new parenting skills that will help these fathers make better decisions and support the development and growth of their children.

Fathers needing job training and job placement are encouraged to participate in the STRIVE employment program offered at The Family School.
