November 2006

• Time passes; seasons change; we all get older; special days come and go; we remember!

• In early November, one of our parents (who works for the Community organization PODER—People Organizing to Demand Environmental & Economic Rights) taught us about Dia de los Muertos (“Day of the Dead”).  We made paper flowers and sugar skulls to decorate the PODER altar of remembrance.  more

• To celebrate Fall and Halloween, we had our very own pumpkin patch party! more

• At Thanksgiving, we learn to say “thank you” for all of the wonderful things we have in our families and homes.

December 2006

• A time for presents and decorations!  With Special thanks to our Foundress, Sr Cathryn deBack and the community of giving at St Dominc’s Church; and to the people at St Gabriel’s.
