In short, the goal of this program is to create increased mechanisms for low-income, at-risk young people to succeed and lead productive lives. After two successful cycles, our STRIVE program successfully completed our third round of trainings providing young people in San Francisco with job readiness skills and placement opportunities in the private business sector.
In past years the CTO project has teamed up with other dedicated San Francisco public agencies, nonprofit organizations and businesses leaders to create educational and employment opportunities for nearly forty young people who reside in San Francisco’s most violent neighborhoods. Through CTO, our exceptional business partners came together to provide young adults (ages 18-24) with a positive 9 week paid internship experience during the summer months. This year, the CTO program continues its commitment to linking young people with employers who have a commitment to providing economic and mentorship opportunities to the youth of San Francisco.
